Balance & Ease: An Evening of Yoga Nidra & Acupuncture

Join Emily Wright and Jenny Netzer for a special practice devoted to cultivating balance in the body, mind and spirit. This offering will include deep breathing, sound healing, acupuncture and yoga nidra.

Based upon the movements of nature, the ancient art and science of Chinese medicine is rooted in the philosophy that every living thing is enlivened by a vital energy, known as Qi, which connects us to one another, and to the world around us. In these hectic times, it is easy to become disconnected and overloaded, creating disease and despair. The practice of acupuncture works at the source of mental, emotional and physical imbalance to revitalize and restore.

The practice of Yoga Nidra is thousands of years old yet immensely relevant to our time. A systematic process of deliberate relaxation that combines breath, body-scan and imagery-based techniques to serve as a powerful antidote to overstimulation, burnout and exhaustion.

Additionally, its ancient wisdom undeniably invites in a deeper knowing of the soul. The spiritual nature of yoga nidra empowers a release of fear and unwanted habits and enables new alignment to authenticity, freedom and heart.

This offering will weave together the wisdom of both modalities to explore the healing potential of reconnecting with nature, ourselves and the restorative healing that comes from deep rest.

To prepare: wear comfortable clothing and bring anything you need to support your body for a prolonged period of lying down. We’ll provide a mat, blanket and bolsters.
