Join Laela Wilding on the first day of the new year to experience the healing and centering practice of yoga nidra and self-inquiry.
Yoga Nidra is a process of guided relaxation and self-awareness that promotes stress reduction, well-being, and deep connection. In this practice we are guided to a place where you are neither fully awake nor asleep. In this state of mind, deep healing and connection can occur, allowing your innate radiance to emerge.
Much more than setting a New Year resolution, we will explore your heart’s deepest calling. Sankalpa is a Sanskrit word that means “a vow that is born from the heart.” Unlike a “resolution” that often stems from wanting to change a habit or quality of ourselves, we will begin the process of deep listening and inquiry to uncover your heart’s deepest longing, beginning with understanding that we each already have everything we need to fulfill our life’s purpose.
The process of yoga nidra blends together practices of deep relaxation, breathing, one-pointed concentration, emotional and cognitive healing, and meditative inquiry that allows us to recognize our Essential Nature such as Being, Awareness, and Joy.
What to expect? We'll provide a yoga mat, blanket and bolster. As the majority of this practice is experienced lying down, you may wish to bring a pillow or additional blanket. The body can cool down after a time, so come prepared by wearing layers of comfortable clothing. We'll offer some gentle movement and time for writing and reflection. Please feel free to bring your journal.
